A Pella woman faces one felony count for an alleged attempted assault with a weapon. According to court records, the Pella Police Department responded to an apartment complex on Sunday afternoon. The department accuses 24-year-old Hallie Vanmeter of getting into a verbal and eventual physical altercation. At one point, Vanmeter is accused of grabbing a knife and sitting on the victim, pointing it at him. She faces one count of going armed with intent, a Class D Felony, and domestic abuse assault with use of a weapon – first offense, an aggravated misdemeanor.
