New teachers to the Indianola Community School District are currently undergoing orientation at the District Administration Building, including elementary, middle school, and high school educators. Superintendent Tara Paul tells KNIA News orientation gives them an overview of district policies and expectations for the upcoming school year, but the training doesn’t end there.

“Mrs. Stacy Evans oversees all of our mentoring program for our new teachers, so whether you are in your first year teaching or the first year in our district, Mrs. Evans is with you for that full first year. Making sure you are guided in the right direction, answering any of your questions, so that we don’t just send them off to the classroom on day one and say good luck, see you later hope everything works out.”
