The Marion County Public Health Department is holding a cancer education presentation on September 8th.

This event will be from 9:30 am – 10:45 am and is a way to join experts from the Iowa Cancer Registry to learn about cancer trends, statistics, and risk factors in the county. This is part of the 99 Counties Project, which is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing cancer education across Iowa. The state has the second highest rate of new cancer diagnosis in the country and Marion County currently ranks #36 for new cancer rates in the state out of the 99 counties.
