The Melcher-Dallas Football Squad was put into a new district as were all high school football squads around Iowa. The Saints are now in 8 man District seven. The Saints are joined by rival Twin Cedars along with Baxter, Montezuma, Moravia, Southeast Warren and Wayne. Coach Jason Mason tells KNIA Sports regardless of who his team plays they first have to match the energy each game.

Mason: “Ideally SE Warren, Baxter, and Wayne, culturally they’re all good football teams and we have to match their energy and effort in each of those games.”

Melcher-Dallas opens the season August 29th with Lamoni and the first district game will be against rival Twin Cedars on September fifth.
