Looking to continue a historic run this season, the Pella Christian cross country teams are looking forward to another great year.
Just over a week from beginning their seasons, the Eagle boys are looking for their fifth consecutive State Meet appearance, while the girls squad is seeking their second straight trip to State. Head Coach Mike Buchheit says that the squads are looking forward to another successful season that will hopefully end in Fort Dodge, but that they are making sure to focus on every meet and practice prior to that. Buchheit says that the theme for the cross country program this season is “Miles with Meaning: Every Run Tells a Story”, which highlights the work and stories of each runner.
“Running is one way to express themselves, and every workout we do has a meaning, every race we’ve got has a meaning, and every season has a meaning. So we’ll see where this ends up but we’re excited for the season.”
Pella Christian will begin their season on Thursday, August 28th at the Marshalltown Bobcat Early Bird Invitational.
