Details about the new electronic device policy approved by the Pella School Board were sent out to parents of all district families this week.
Pella High School Principal Josh Manning says while the middle school had some restrictions in place, a new set of rules for all cell phones and personal electronics will apply to all ages of students.
Manning says the main reason prompting the change was House File 782, which banned the use of devices during instructional time; the Pella Community School District is going a step further.
