Newton Main Street is advertising tonight’s extended Farmer’s Market as one of the biggest ever. The organization says over 35 local area vendors will be offering produce, baked goods, and hand crafted items of all kinds. Youth Entrepreneurs of Jasper County will be showcasing their own small businesses and the KNIA/KRLS Lil Big Red Radio will also be doing live reports and playing music at the market. There will also be live Blues music from Iowan Matt Woods. His performance will cover the entire three hour Farmer’s Market from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. at Legacy Plaza. South Skunk Blues Society will be onsite to promote ticket sales for the upcoming Bowlful of Blues Labor Day Weekend.
