
The Jasper County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement to complete a feasibility study for a proposed bridge over the Iowa Interstate Railroad crossing on County Highway T-38 at their meeting on Tuesday. The study is being conducted by Benesch Engineering, based out of Chicago, Illinois, who is consulting with the county on the proposed bridge between U.S. Highway 6 east of Oakland Acres and Exit 179 on Interstate 80. Also at the meeting, the board approved a pair of rezoning requests for two parcels of land from agricultural to rural residential, the hiring of Piper Larson as a Secondary Roads Full-Time Skilled Laborer, and an agreement to the Living Roadway Trust Fund Grant for Counties.
