The Newton Farmer’s Market was open for an extra hour Tuesday and featured many young entrepreneurs from Jasper County. Among Tuesday’s festivities at the market was the Rising Roots Youth Market, which highlighted more than 15 youth entrepreneurs showcasing their own small businesses. Additionally, there was an appearance by the KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio, live music from Matt Woods Roots Music Live on the Green Space, as well as a variety of vendors and food trucks. Weather permitting, the Newton Farmer’s Market is held every Tuesday at the new Legacy Plaza Greenspace through September from 4-6 pm.
