The Norwalk boys golfers posted a new school record in defeat on Wednesday, falling to Dallas Center-Grimes 276-281 in a dual meet at Willow Creek. The Warriors’ 3-under-par team score of 281 bested last year’s 18-hole record at Beaver Creek by five strokes.

Tillman Papcun and Parker Cary both shot 2-under rounds of 69 to lead Norwalk. Rohan Tiedt carded a 71 and Dayton Poen finished with a 72. DC-G’s Avery Van Zelderen earned medalist honors with a 4-under round of 67.

The Warriors’ next meet will be Wednesday, August 27, when they compete in the Johnston Invitational at Jester Park Golf Course. The tournament will start at 9:00 a.m.
