The Norwalk girls tennis team won a 7-4 dual decision at Pella Christian on Thursday, improving to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.

The Warriors took four out of six matches in singles play, getting wins from Kierdyn Stockwell (6-0, 7-5), Leah Black (6-2, 6-4), Myla Brown (6-1, 7-5) and Brooke McKinney (7-6 (7-2), 6-1). Norwalk went 3-2 in doubles play, including a hard-fought 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 win by the No. 1 team of Logan Geisler and Stockwell. Black and Elena Harder teamed up for a 6-1, 6-4 victory and Savannah Wright and Emily Badger won 6-4, 6-2.

The Warrior girls are back in action this morning, facing a pair of teams at the Walker Johnston Tennis Courts in Urbandale. They will face the host J-Hawks at 8:00 a.m. before taking on Fort Dodge.

The Norwalk football team will scrimmage Ankeny Centennial tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Norwalk.
