Simpson College was awarded 4.5 out of 5 stars in the Money “Best Colleges in America” ratings by Money.
Simpson was one of only two private schools in Iowa to earn a 4.5 star or higher rating. Money examined and evaluated schools based on 25 value factors in three primary categories: quality of education, affordability and outcomes.
Quality of education factors supporting Simpson’s selection included six-year graduation rates, instructor access (student-faculty ratio) and Pell Grant recipient outcomes. Affordability criteria involved considerations such as net price of a degree, estimated average student debt and ability to repay debt. Outcomes looked at variables such as earnings 10 years after college entry, economic mobility and return on investment.
