The Iowa League of Cities has released their 2025 Candidates Guide, for those wishing to run for elected positions in the November election. The candidates guide breaks down how city budgets work, making policy, open meetings laws, open records laws, and conflicts of interest among many others. There are also ongoing training opportunities provided to elected officials, either in-person or from literature.
