A popular event that draws participants and spectators to Colfax’s 480-acre Quarry Springs Park every year is about to return. The annual Paddle Skedaddle will take place on September 14th. It’s a two-mile kayak course and 3.5-mile run/walk. Participants can do both, or partner with someone else to complete the 5.5-mile event. Trophies and medals are awarded for each age group, and a dog walker’s category has been added this year to the 3.5-mile run/walk.
Registration for the Paddle Skedaddle is underway now. It includes a t-shirt, free on-site photos, breakfast and after-race snacks, and a race bib for all finishers. The registration price for the event will increase on September 1st. More information can be found, and registering can be done here. Quarry Springs Park is located just south of Interstate 80 in Colfax, off exit 155.
