Two sports will be in action for Knoxville on Thursday. The girls tennis squad will travel to Chariton. The Panthers are 3-2 in dual meets after defeating Clarke on Tuesday 8-1. The Panthers are currently 3-0 in South Central Conference dual meets. The Panther Cross Country Squads head to Albia for their second meet of the season. The boys won their own Early Bird Invitational on Monday while the girls were 3rd. Girls Senior Runner Halle Baker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports tonight will be a challenging meet with several conference teams and the course has its challenges.

Baker: “We get to run with a couple conference teams and see where we’re at and compare with them. It’s a harder course so there’s a few challenging hills.”

The boys are defending champions of the Albia meet. First races are scheduled to begin at 4:30.
