Indianola Football Starts Season Against Rival Norwalk
The Indianola football team made the jump from Class 4A to Class 5A, but they will start their season tonight against a familiar opponent in Warren County rival Norwalk. The two squads have traded their last nine games, with no team winning two years in a row, and the Indians coming out on top 28-3 in the season opener last year. Indianola returns quarterback Asher Brueck who threw for over 1300 yards last season, and head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports he thinks the Indianola offense will be able to be more dynamic, in both the passing and running game this season.
The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA and simulcast on the Indianola Activities YouTube stream, with Andrew Swadner, Rick Wilson, and Rob Hawkins on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff scheduled for 7pm.
