In a dual that featured five match tiebreaks, the Norwalk girls tennis team fell short at Waukee on Friday, losing a 9-2 decision.

Both Norwalk victories came in third-set tiebreakers. Kierdyn Stockwell won her No. 2 singles match 4-6, 7-6, 10-2, improving to 8-1 on the season. The No. 3 doubles team of Jacey Crane and Myla Brown improved their record to 5-1, winning 3-6, 7-6, 10-8.

The Warriors also lost three matches that came down to very competitive third-set tiebreakers, including Logan Geisler and Leah Black in singles play and the doubles team of Savannah Wright and Emily Badger.

Norwalk’s overall dual record is now 7-2 going into Wednesday’s Little Hawkeye Conference showdown with Pella. The Warriors will host the Dutch at 2:00 p.m.
