The Marion County Road Department has provided updates on fall road construction.

The department says construction season is coming in late for their secondary road system this year with their major projects just starting to ramp up.  It will be a busy September and October for the road department with many projects getting underway soon. You can use the link below to subscribe for up to date information regarding work zones and closures.  Below is the list of projects with the tentative start dates:

  1. Sept. 2nd – 110th Ave. Concrete Paving – McKimber south 750′ – One Lane Road
  2. Sept. 8th – S45 Bridge Approach removal/replacement – S45 north of M-D – One Lane Road
  3. Sept. 8th – Micro-surfacing on various County roads – One Lane (218th, Elk Horn Dr., Inwood Dr., 118th, Rutledge)
  4. Sept. 8th – Dollar Bridge removal resumes. 
  5. Sept. 22nd – S45 (from G76 south to Lucas Co. ) – Asphalt Overlay – One Lane Road with pilot car/flaggers.
  6. Oct. 6th – T17 One Lane followed by Closure beginning on Oct. 8th – from Hwy 5 to SCISWA, immediately following is a Closure from SCISWA to Old Hwy 92, then One Lane for the last week of the project.
