
The Pella City Council is holding a public hearing at their meeting this evening to enter into a development agreement with Pella Corporation for a hangar ground lease. If approved, Pella Corporation will construct a $4 million hangar that includes 19,200 square feet of facility space for two corporate jets, an office area, and terminal. City of Pella costs are estimated at $1.04 million, which include extension of the apron access road, a water main extension, and land grading.
Other agenda items on this evening’s schedule include:
– Resolution to construct indoor rec center sanitary sewer improvements
– Resolution authorizing funding agreement with HIRTA
– Change order for Sanitary Sewer Lining Project
– Iowa DOT Agreement for Pella Municipal Airport apron expansion
– 2nd reading of ordinance for zoning change near intersection of Brook Circle and Idaho Drive
A policy and planning work session is scheduled, which includes discussion of the city’s UTV ordinance and electric scooter regulations, as well as several potential partnership agreements with Marion County.
The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
