Knoxville Aviation is launching a flight training scholarship.

This fall, young aviators ages 16–23 are invited to apply for the scholarship, which is designed to support aspiring pilots by providing $5,000 toward completion of a Private Pilot License. To be eligible, applicants must be able to secure an FAA 3rd Class Medical Certificate, be able to pass the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam, live within 35 miles of Knoxville Municipal Airport (KOXV), and plan to complete flight training at Knoxville Aviation.

$5,000 will be awarded immediately after solo flight, applied directly toward finalizing the Private Pilot License. Applications are open through September 30th. The initiative aims to foster local talent and provide young aviators with the resources they need to succeed. To apply, applicants will need to write a 500-750 word essay on why they deserve the scholarship, their passion for aviation,  and future goals. Essays can be submitted to knoxvilleiaairport@gmail.com
