The Knoxville City Council approved a materials bid for the new public safety/city hall facility at their meeting on Monday.

The council held a public hearing for the precast material package for the project. The low bid for the precast package was a little over $1.1 Million from MPC Enterprises Inc in which the council approved. Every bid that was received came under the engineers estimate. The council also ordered bids for the construction project, approved a resolution to guarantee a local match for the Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund and accepted facade easements for the Community Development Block Grant Downtown Revitalization project in Knoxville.
