The Indianola City Council approved a pair of staffing studies at their meeting Monday, a comprehensive look at the emergency departments personnel and policies, in addition to a study that will review the entire city staff. City Manager Jake Meshke said the study regarding the emergency departments will be very in depth, while the second study will use some of the data from that study, but look at the city from a larger perspective as it compares to other cities in the area.
“They will really be looking at benchmarking Indianola against six of our peer communities. They select those based on a structured scoring methodology to ensure they really are true peers for us. That MGT study will deliver a final deliverable of a single integrated report summarizing key findings and action recommendations, it will end up including staffing data tables and visualizations, comparative analysis with peer community, department specific observations, and contextual input from staff and leadership as well.”
