The Indianola boys cross country team ran their varsity squad for the first time this season, earning a first place finish at the Urbandale Invitational, while the girls squad had an impressive second place showing. Indianola’s Reed Robbins earned meet championship honors with a first place finish for the boys, while teammate Kiefer Barnes was right behind in second place, Paxton Bloom was fourth, and Jake Robidoux was sixth as the Indians scored just 24 team points.

Leading the girls squad was Ady Mason, Leah Hartford, and Cali Laxton in fourth, fifth, and sixth places respectively, while Paige Hoger placed 10th to round out the day with a team score of 44. Both teams will run at Marshalltown on Thursday.
