After rolling over the South Central Conference by combined scores of 43-2, and winning the conference regular season title, the Panthers will now try to put their stamp on the SCC in Monday’s conference meet at the Joel Tonda Tennis Courts. The Panthers have heavy favorites not just for the team title, but have a chance to sweep the singles and doubles individual championships as well. Coach Nick DeMoss has been experimenting with his doubles teams and trying to get all of his players matches so they can be seeded well when it comes to tournament time.
DeMoss: “If I can bump them up and sit out my 1, 2 and 3 and let them play up and get them to go against their 1s, 2s, and 3s and that’s worked out well for us.”
Following the conference meet, the Panthers will have a few days off until the individual and team regionals start.
