Facing an elite field of Class 5A teams, the #2 in 4A Pella volleyball team couldn’t find the win column at the Valley invitational Saturday. The Dutch lost all four of their matches to #1 Waukee Northwest 2-0 (8-21, 11-21), #4 Waukee 2-0 (15-21, 15-21), #8 Dowling 2-0 (17-21, 12-21), and #10 Valley 2-0 (16-21, 18-21). Pella was without senior Brooke Schulte, who was out due to an injury. Pella falls to 8-6 overall and is off this week until the Southeast Polk tournament next Saturday.
