The Knoxville Football Squad will travel to Albia tonight looking for its first win of the season. The Panthers are playing a Blue Demon squad that got its first win of the season last week over Central Lee. One thing that Panthers Coach Matt Dunkin has emphasized this week is urgency. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his guys need to have the urgency to get better not just game-to-game, but every rep in practice.

Dunkin: “Been trying to stay on top of the guys to fly around at practice. The goal is to get better not just from games, but between every rep in practice and I think they’ve taken that to heart.”

Dunkin has been overall pleased with his offense and special teams. Defensively while it is averaging giving up over 400 yards, he says the effort has been good. While South Central Conference rivals Knoxville and Albia have not met on the football field since 1991 with Knoxville holding a 48-22 lead in the series with five ties. Tonight’s action can be heard live on 95.3 KNIA at 6:30 with the kick off at 7:30.
