
The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening. The council gave direction to city staff to fill the Public Works Director position and the Indianola Wellness Campus open positions, an agreement with MGT Impact Solutions to lead the search for the Indianola Police Chief position, a contract with Snyder & Associates for updating the Drainage Master Plan, and changes to city ordinances regarding false representation of service animals and liquor and beer permits to comply with state law.
The council also approved the first reading of an amendment to a city ordinance regarding a truck route through the city in a 4-2 vote, with a change added by council to take out Iowa Ave from the route. Hear more information on the truck route on an upcoming Let’s Talk Indianola.
