
The Knoxville City Council approved the site plan for the new public safety/city hall facility at their meeting Monday.
The new building will be off of Highway 14 at the site of the former Knoxville Middle School. Also at the meeting, there was an oath of office administered to new police officer Dakota Ramsey, the council approved a Weiler application for the IEDA High Quality Jobs Program, held a public hearing on the rezoning of 102 N Lincoln Street and approved the action item, and tabled the rezoning of 202 E Washington Street. The meeting closed with the council ordering bids for the Veterans District Phase Two Improvements Project and the purchase of fire prevention items from the Fire Department Memorial Fund.
