The final event of the 2025 season at the Knoxville Raceway is set to begin tonight as the 21st Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals. 37 drivers that have pre-entered and possibly more when racing gets underway will vie for a record purse of over $350,000 with $75,000 going to the winner on Saturday night. The format is similar to the Knoxville Nationals in August. All drivers are given a chance to time trial, run in heat races and depending on where they finish in the heats they will run one of two B-Mains or A-Main with drivers transferring out of both of the B-Mains. All drivers entered will get to run both tonight and tomorrow night during preliminary races with their best total points from the two nights taken to position each driver through the field with the highest points earning the pole position for Saturday’s championship race. Past champions entered are Brian Shirley, Ricky Thornton Jr, Defending Champion Bobby Pierce, and Johnathan Davenport. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:30 with time trials and racing to follow.
