Austin Bishop and Jordyn Counts were crowned as the 2025 Knoxville High School Homecoming King and Queen on Thursday.

The coronation ceremony was held Thursday night at Randy Wilson Track along with the homecoming pep rally. The pep rally included the introduction of the homecoming court, a performance by the band, a performance by the Knoxville dance team and cheerleaders along with the young future cheerleaders, the introduction of the football team and then the announcement of the king and queen. Bishop says it is an honor to be a part of a Knoxville family tradition.

“It’s kind of surreal right now, I’m kind of in shock. I know the tradition, both my parents went to Knoxville too so it’s cool to be a big part of this tradition.”

Counts says it means a lot to know her classmates voted her in for this honor.

“It means a lot to know people see you in that way to vote for you so it means to know people think of you that way.”

This year’s queen candidates include Celia Marean, Rian Rowley, Jordyn Counts, Halle Baker, Caelie Smith, Bailey Gullion, Olyvia Scovel. This year’s king candidates are Regan Roberts, Brady Roozeboom, Brody DeJong, Drake Larson, Austin Bishop, Luke Roozeboom, Brett Watters. The homecoming parade is today at 3:00 pm and the homecoming football game will start at 7:30 against Fairfield.
