The Pella Christian volleyball team went 3-1 at the Des Moines Christian Invite on Thursday night.

The Eagles opened the tournament with a 21-10, 21-14 win against GMG, before falling to Class 4A #2 Pella 21-15, 21-9. Pella Christian bounced back to knock off Class 1A #9 Southeast Warren 21-9, 21-17 in their third match, before concluding the tournament with a 21-6, 21-18 victory against Des Moines Christian. Brynn Roozeboom led Pella Christian offensively on the night, recording 22 kills over the four matches, while Rachel Kacmarynski added 18 kills. Brynn Runner dished out a team-leading 53 assists, while Addie Van Arendonk had six aces in the tournament. Defensively, Jessa De Vries had a team-high 28 digs, and Kacmarynski had five blocks at the net.

After their six matches this week, the Eagles have the weekend before returning to action on Tuesday for a home Little Hawkeye Conference showdown with Indianola.
