A clash of undefeated teams at Pella High School this evening features a rematch of the 2024 state championship game. The Dutch welcome North Polk to end the non-district portion of the 2025 calendar. Pella and the Comets played for the top prize in Class 4A to end the season, with the boys from Alleman claiming their first ever title. A lot is new for both teams since that point, with the Dutch featuring first-year Head Coach Ben Bollard, who says the Comets have replaced nearly all of the impact players from their championship team with a lot of success thus far. North Polk Quarterback James Armstrong leads Class 4A in passing yards through three weeks (684), leading a team that has won their first three games by a combined seven points. The Dutch carry their best in 4A defense to try and stop the passing attack, with opponents average=ing 4.33 points per contest against the green and white.
