The Knoxville Airport is holding a OXVtoberFest Fly-In event on October 4th.
This fall festival event at the airport will be from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm and include live music, airplane rides, hay rides, fall activities, a refreshment garden and a chili cook off. The chili cook off will be for a cause where nonprofit organizations sponsor chili entries and the public will then taste and vote for what chili they like the best with their dollars. All money raised at each chili station goes back to a nonprofit. Knoxville Airport Manager Katie Shawver encourages everyone to come out to this event.
“I would love for everybody in Knoxville and surrounding communities to support this event. This is put on for the community and the community that we serve as an airport and a business. I think that it is really good for families and everyone in Knoxville to come out and enjoy. It’s for you, so I hope everyone comes out and enjoys it.”
