
The Pella Christian volleyball team returns to Little Hawkeye Conference action tonight, welcoming Indianola to Eagle Lane for their second of three home conference games this season.
The contest between the Eagles and Indians this evening will be the second between the two teams this season, after previously meeting at the Skip Anderson Invitational at Bondurant-Farrar on August 30th. Indianola won that first meeting 21-16, 21-14, extending their winning streak to 17 straight games over Pella Christian. In the Bound era dating back to 2016, the Eagles have defeated the Indians just once in 18 meetings, earning a 3-1 victory on September 20th, 2016.
Indianola comes into tonight’s matchup with a 9-11 overall record on the fall, and are led by senior Lauren Olson and freshman Julia McGraw. Olson leads the Indians with 133 kills and 165 digs on the season, while McGraw has a team-high 138 assists and 18 aces. Pella Christian is 10-8 overall on the year, and has five different girls that lead the team in the primary stat categories. Brynn Roozeboom has the most kills for the Eagles with 126, Brynn Runner has 285 assists, Jessa DeVries has 118 digs, Rachel Kacmarynski has 27 blocks, and Addie Van Arendonk has 31 aces.
Pella Christian’s home volleyball match against Indianola tonight is set to begin at 7:15 pm.
