The Knoxville Volleyball Squad was surgical in its dominating three sets to none sweep over Cardinal on Tuesday 25-11, 25-9, and 25-9. The Panthers jumped out to large leads early in each set and cruised home for the victory. Addy Dunkin filled the stats as she had 27 assists, went 20/21 serving with seven aces and had 13 digs. Jordyn Counts and Addi Williams led a balanced attack at the net with nine kills, each while Siena Scott put down eight kills. Abbie Keitges had ten digs, and went 13/14 serving with two aces. Coach Mollie Ketiges is excited to see how her team reacts to the heavier schedule playing Tuesday/Saturday for the next four weeks

Keitges: “In the next 4 weeks we play every Tuesday/Saturday and we’re nearing the 40 game mark, and it’ll be a grind, but I’m looking forward to it and I like our schedule to begin heavy on the back end.”

Knoxville is now 13-6 and 4-0 in the South Central Conference and has a trip to Boone on Saturday.

The Knoxville Cross Country Squads ran at Newton on Tuesday with the girls placing 4th and the boys 5th in the teams standings. Isaac Rankin returned to his winning ways in a time of 17:00. Coach Michael Splavec told KNIA/KRLS Sports the boys were battling illness and turned in some good times. He added the girls, which were led by Mary Visser in 14th, laying down a time of 23:29. The boys head to Indianola on Thursday.
