Some of the new patio furniture for the patio on the south side of the new clubhouse at Westwood Golf Course in Newton is now in use. A majority of the furniture and the fire pit were delivered and are in place. The rest of the tables and chairs should be arriving soon. 

The Newton City Council has spent just under $52,000 on adding the patio overlooking the golf course, and another $35,778 for the patio furniture, which was acquired through Christine Pletcher DeZign of Newton. Westwood Golf Pro Brad Sponseller says the patio offers a great view anyone can enjoy.

“This is for everybody. If you are not a golfer, come out and have a pizza or a Chicago Dog and enjoy one of the best views in Jasper County.”

The patio furniture features the same color and theme of the clubhouse interior, and includes black iron mesh tables, armchairs, adirondack chairs, end tables, and umbrella bases.
