A memorial event for the Empty Cradle program at Pella Regional Health Center returns to the historic Scholte Church in the Pella Historical Village on Sunday, October 12th at 3 pm.

“A Walk to Remember” will begin with a service at the Scholte Church, followed by a remembrance stroll through the Pella Historical Village, and conclude with a butterfly release to symbolize hope and remembrance. As part of the stroll, memorial signs will be displayed to commemorate babies that have been lost. Those attending the event are asked to enter at the corner of Franklin St. and East 2nd St. Empty Cradle at Pella Regional provides support and connection for families that have experienced the loss of a baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. The program offers a space for families to share their experiences, exchange resources, and honor their lost loved ones. All parents and families are invited to the group for a time of remembering these babies.
