The annual residential curbside clean-up in Prairie City with Waste Management will take place next Saturday. Items to be discarded are to be placed at the curb in front of each residence between 7 a.m. Friday, October 3rd and 7 a.m.the day of the pick-up, which is Saturday, October 4th. Apartment complexes are not included in Prairie City’s Curbside Clean-up. Items not eligible for disposal include appliances, carpet, computers, hazardous waste, metal, oil, televisions, tires, and yard waste.

Following Waste Management’s one pass through Prairie City, items left on the curb need to be removed prior to Monday to avoid a city citation. Questions about the Residential Curbside Clean-up should be directed to Prairie City’s City Hall at 515-994-2649.
