The City of Newton and Get To Know Newton have released a new brand video showcasing some of the people and places unique to Newton. The video was made public Friday. Newton’s Community Development Director, Erin Chambers, says its goal is to draw people to town.

“One of the goals the city council has through the comprehensive plan is to grow visitorship and our population. One way we work to accomplish that is by using Hotel/Motel Tax funds to promote our community. The Brand Video we released highlights all the great things about Newton. Why do people choose to work and live here, and to visit? And it features a lot of local faces promoting our community.”

Chambers says the benefits of a growing community include an expanding tax base and more jobs, housing, businesses, and amenities. The new Newton brand video can be seen here.
