
A rural Sully woman accused of stealing a car from the parking lot of a Newton fast food restaurant last week is to appear in court tomorrow on a class D felony charge of 2nd Degree Theft. Newton Police allege twenty-six-year-old Sierra Dawn Sanders took a Grinnell man’s 2013 Toyota Corolla from the Burger King parking lot on First Avenue East, just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 21st. The police report says she was arrested two days later, when she was caught driving the car in Monroe. A Preliminary Hearing in her case is set for 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
