Nominations close Tuesday to select local high school seniors interested in being the next Tulip Queen. Jennifer Van Gorp with the Tulip Time Steering Committee says any Class of 2026 members living within the borders of the Pella Community School District and attending school at Pella, Pella Christian, or homeschool is eligible to be nominated by anyone in the community, including themselves. Once the nominees accept, a community vote will be held to narrow the field down to 12 finalists, who will perform at the Tulip Queen’s Announcement Party on November 15th at Pella Christian High School. The five girls chosen that night will represent Pella as the Tulip Queen and Royal Court for the 91st annual Tulip Time this coming spring. Nominations are due on Tuesday, and can be submitted at the Pella Historical Museums website.
