The ranked Pella Christian cross country teams will compete in their only meet this week tonight, traveling to Williamsburg for an Invitational that features 27 girls teams and 25 boys squads.
The Class 2A #6 Eagle boys and #9 girls return to action after a nine-day break from competition, which followed a stretch of three meets in a span of ten days. Welcoming Pella Christian back to the course will be a loaded field at the Williamsburg Invitational. Of the 27 schools scheduled to run in the girls race, the Eagles are among nine other ranked teams in the field, while the PC boys are among six other ranked squads in the 25 team field. The girls race features one ranked team in Class 4A in #15 Clinton; four teams ranked in Class 3A in #1 Pella, #3 Mount Vernon-Lisbon, #7 Solon, and #16 Williamsburg; three teams in 2A in #7 Albia, #9 Pella Christian and #17 Tipton; and two teams in 1A in #6 Lynnville-Sully and #11 English Valleys. The boys field has four ranked teams from Class 3A in #2 Pella, #3 Mount Vernon-Lisbon, #9 Bondurant-Farrar, and #17 Carlisle; two teams from 2A #6 Pella Christian and #14 Tipton; and one team from 1A in #9 Lynnville-Sully.
Varsity races for the Pella Christian cross country teams in Williamsburg tonight are scheduled to start at 5 pm.
