On Today’s Lely Radio Sports Page, Shaffer Landuyt talks with Norwalk Cross Country runners following their races at the Indianola Invitational on Thursday, September 25th.

Freshman Hannah Schmitz placed second in the varsity girls’ race with a time of 19:32 as the Norwalk girls secured first place in the meet.

Senior Sam Parker placed sixth with a time of 16:38, and freshman Brayden Walderbach placed 11th with a time of 16:46 as the Norwalk boys placed second in the meet, trailing first-place Gilbert by nine points. (Times and results from the boys’ race are corrections from the interview, as results weren’t official at the time of the interview.)
