The 18-week Farmer’s Market season in downtown Newton ended Tuesday, and Market Manager Nikki Brain says this year’s change in location was a big success. The Market moved from the northside of Newton’s square, to the greenspace between the DMACC Campus and Legacy Plaza.
“We are all very pleased with the new location, the addition of the vendors, the food trucks and live music every week. We really had the community embrace us and continue to show up week after week, especially in September when everybody is back in school and has things going on.”
Brain says the Legacy Plaza Greenspace has also opened up the Farmer’s Market to community members who may not have had an opportunity to attend it downtown because of accessibility issues. Newton Main Street’s Farmer’s Market is held on Tuesdays from June through September.
