The Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce and Newton Main Street have officially opened their new joint office on the upper floor of First Newton National Bank, on the northeast corner of Newton’s square. Kaylea Marchant, the Executive Director of the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, says the move from the former office just north of Legacy Plaza, gives the Chamber an opportunity to better serve its members, expand their programs, and continue championing Newton businesses and the benefits of being a Chamber of Commerce member.
“Like joining and building your network. Meeting new and friendly faces. Growth and Development for yourself personally and your business as well.
Newton Main Street moved out of Legacy Plaza, and Executive Director Erin Yeager says the new location provides a better space for workshops, roundtable discussions, collaborative projects, and classes for local businesses.
“Whether it’s how to use social media, session planning if you are at that stage in your business and ready to retire, but also bringing in guest speakers. So we have a little more flexibility.”
The move has not changed the phone numbers or emails for Newton Main Street or the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce. A Grand Opening Open House and Ribbon-Cutting for the new combined office is scheduled for October 15th, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
