The Pella Fire Department is bringing back a traditional event to kick off Fire Prevention Week. Assistant Fire Chief Jason Schroeder says the 8th annual pancake breakfast will be held at their fire station on Main Street from 6 to 10 a.m. this Saturday. Schroeder says there is a wide range of activities for all ages, especially for kids. The Pella Fire Department breakfast includes a full meal, raffle drawing, tours of the Pella Fire Station, and new this year, paid rides on fire trucks. Donations support ongoing equipment needs for the Pella City and Rural Fire Departments.
