
The Indianola City Council meets in regular session Monday evening, with Mayor Steve Richardson reading a proclamation declaring October as Cybersecurity Month. The council will consider the zoning of Leonard Subdivision Plat 2 Lot 6, Chapter 165 of the city Zoning Ordinances regarding notice of public hearings, a FY26 budget amendment, and a truck route ordinance. The council will also consider a contract for residential recycling collection, a plat of survey, and appoint members to a special economic development committee.
The council will also hold discussions and give direction to city staff regarding council policy on council study sessions, meeting length, public comment time, and filling vacant budgeted positions.
