The Knoxville City Council will discuss land in the Veterans District at their meeting on Monday.

The council will look to approve the revised 28E agreement with Marion County where the City now will receive more land in the Veterans District which includes the laundry building site, Lincoln Street commercial site, school site, and Youngs Park addition site. Also at the meeting relating to the VA District the council will consider approving the preliminary plat four, and hold a public hearing with potential action to follow regarding rezoning of the Veterans District Phase Two.

Additionally the council will hear mayoral readings of National Fire Prevention Week and Community Planning Month proclamations, hold a public hearing and consider expansion of the Knoxville Urban Renewal Area, adopt the 2025 pavement management report, and look to approve the conditional zoning agreement for the property at 202 E Washington Street.

Monday’s Knoxville City Council meeting will start at 6:15 pm at City Hall.
