The Indianola boys golf team travels to Copper Creek Golf Club today to compete in the class 4A district competition, aiming to repeat their state meet run last fall. The Indians are ranked #20 in the state with an 18-hole average of just over 306, but will look to repeat their performance from late September where they shot a team score of 295 and won the SE Polk Invitational at the same course. The top three teams from each district site will qualify, as well as the top two overall individual players from each site’s non-qualifying teams. Action starts today at 10am.
The Indianola volleyball team will look to get back on track in Little Hawkeye Conference play on the road tonight at Pella, trying to spoil a Dutch conference championship. The Indians fell to rival Norwalk in conference action last week 3-1, but had a stellar weekend at the Urbandale Invitational. The Indians are 0-2 against Pella in tournament play this season, however three of the four sets lost were by two points. First serve is at 7:15pm.
