This week is National Fire Prevention Week, and the Indianola Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Prevention Association to help pass along educational material with the theme of “Charge into Fire Safety” focusing on Lithium-Ion batteries in the home. Indianola Fire Marshall Ted Neller tells KNIA News it is important to pass along safety information to local residents and especially children, as knowing a lot of the basics of fire safety such as where to go when the fire alarm goes off, or how to stop, drop, and roll can save their life.
More information will be presented at the upcoming Public Safety Open House this Thursday at the Indianola Fire Department parking lot from 5:30-7:30pm.
